UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions for all people, today announced that Aaron Thorne has been appointed Vice President & Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
Mr Thorne, who was previously Vice President of Sales APAC, has a strong track record in the software sector and brings a wealth of experience and a clear vision for the company’s future in the region.
Under Mr Thorne’s leadership, UKG is committed to solidifying its position as the number one workforce management platform in Australia and New Zealand while increasing its presence and supporting more organisations in the public sector and mining industry.
Mr Thorne also aims to expand the company’s footprint and headcount in the rapidly growing Southeast Asian market in the coming year.
Mr Thorne has served as Vice President of Sales for UKG since 2021, leading the Australia and New Zealand Enterprise Sales Team to achieve a doubling of the region’s revenue over the next two years. He started his career at the company in 2019, serving as an Enterprise Account Director, looking after some of UKG’s largest local customers.
Before UKG, Mr Thorne was an Enterprise Account Director for Board International, a global business intelligence and planning SaaS vendor.
Earlier in his career, he worked in the finance and healthcare industries, holding senior enterprise sales roles. Mr Thorne was a former professional baseball player with the Seattle Mariners in the United States.
